IMPORTANT

  1. For admissions to the Architecture course*, the merit as assessed by giving equal weight-age to the marks obtained in the ‘National Aptitude Test in Architecture’ [NATA], conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA), and the grade/marks in the qualifying examination will be the criterion. [*As per directives of the Council of Architecture, India.]
    Admission to Medical courses, Agriculture, Forestry, Veterinary and Fisheries courses are regulated on the basis of merit as assessed in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG 2018) conducted by the CBSE. 
    Admission to the B.Pharm course is regulated on the basis of marks obtained in the Paper-I (Physics & Chemistry) of the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination 
    The Rank lists shall include all candidates qualified in the respective Entrance Examinations 
    conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala/CBSE, irrespective of 
    their academic eligibility and category
  2. The certificate produced for getting communal reservation should be an Original Certificate and it must be attached along with the Printout of Application.
  3. Remember, once the application is finally submitted, it cannot be modified.
  4. Take printout of application using the link ‘Print Application’. The Printout of Application using the link 'Print Application' alone will be accepted. Any other form 
  5. of printout is not accepted
  6. Send the Application and supporting proof to CEE in the following order:

  • The first page of Printout of Application with photograph pasted (same as uploaded) dully attested by a Government Gazzetted Officer / Head of Institution.
  • Proof for Nativity.
  • Proof for Date of Birth.
  • Course Certificate in Original or Self Attested copy of Mark list, if claimed studied Sanskrit at plus two.
  • Original Community/Non Creamy Layer Certificate, if communal reservation is claimed.
  • Original Income Certificate, if desire to be considered for fee concession / EC status.
  • Proof for Special Reservation, if claimed.
  • Any other documents, if required.

Educational Qualifications

  1. For Army Wing of National Defense Academy :—12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
  2. For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defense Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :—12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
NOTE:
  • Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination.
  • Candidates appearing in the 11th class exam are not eligible for this examination.

Examination Pattern

The exam pattern details are given below:
  • Type of Question: There will be objective type questions asked in the examination.
  • Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted through pen and paper-based mode.
  • Exam Duration: Two and half hour duration will be given for Code 1 and Code 2.
  • Section: The exam will consist of two sections like Mathematics and General Ability Test.
  • Language: The question paper will be asked in bilingual, i.e. English & Hindi only.
  • Negative Marking: There will be negative marking done for wrong answers.

Application Fee

  • The application fee will be Rs. 100/- for general & OBC students
  • SC/ST candidates and wards of NCOs/ JCOs/ORs are not required to pay any application fee

IMPORTANT

  • There is no need to send the printout of the application form to the authority.
  • Marital Status & Gender: Only unmarried MALE candidates can apply for this exam.
  • NDA-I Age Limit: students must have born between 2nd July 1999 to 1st July 2002.
  • NDA-II Age Limit: Candidates should have born between 2nd January 2000 to 1st July 2003

Application for NEST 2018


NEST is a compulsory test for admission to the 5-year Integrated MSc programme in basic sciences - Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics - at National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Center for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CBS), Mumbai. Both NISER and CBS are autonomous institutions established by Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, in 2007.


Admitted students are eligible to receive annual scholarship of Rs.60,000 either through the INSPIRE program of Department of Science and Technology or the DISHA program of Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. In addition, the scholarship recipients receive grant of Rs.20,000 per annum for summer internship.

PATTERN OF EXAMINATION

  • The question paper will consist of 5 (five) sections of objective (MCQ) type questions. 
  • Section 1 is the general section and is of 30 marks. There will be no negative marking in the general section. 
  • Sections 2 through 5 are of 50 marks each and will contain subject specific questions from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics. Candidates are permitted to attempt as many subject–sections as they wish. However, only the best three subject–scores along with the score in the general section will be counted for evaluation and merit list preparation.
NEST 2018 Examination will be a Computer -Based Test (CBT/Online Exam)

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture. The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability that have been acquired over a long period of time, and that are related to specific field of study, i.e. Architecture.

Grand Total of 200 marks
Only one option is correct and correct response will yield 2 (two) marks. There is no negative marking.

IMPORTANT

  • There is no need to send any document by post.
  • Candidate shall download the soft copy of the Admit Card from the website and shall appear in the examination with a printed hard copy at the concerned Examination Centre indicated in the Admit Card along with one photo identity card- Voter ID/ Pan Card/ Aadhar Card/ Driving Licence/e- Aadhar.
